In the late 1980s the technique for digitizing a photo was placing it under a video camera and recording it on a dedicated computer. This was a rather time consuming method, and the pros did not outweigh spending time in the darkroom with negatives and chemicals. During the 1990s, digital SLR cameras started hitting the photographic market. These cameras were outrageously expensive. Again, the pros did not outweigh spending time in the darkroom with negatives and chemicals.

Within the past ten years digital photography technology has made incredible strides. Most can afford a digital camera of some kind. Printing technologies have been simplified. And yet, there is still a need for training.

Whatever your needs, Blue Aperture can design a hands-on tutorial tailored for specific needs or a more general approach encompassing taking photos, printing and storing.

Today, the pros of digital photography outweigh spending time in the darkroom with negatives and chemicals.
